Director, Pricing Strategy
Join CVS Health as the Director, Pricing Strategy. This senior leadership role leads the market event pricing team, sets strategies with business goals, and collaborates cross‑functionally to drive pricing excellence. Responsibilities
Lead strategic pricing initiatives for market events impacting PBM, clients, and members. Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that align with business objectives, market dynamics, and customer needs. Analyze pricing data, market trends, and competitive insights to generate actionable recommendations to support informed pricing decisions. Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, underwriting, trade, business compliance, regulatory, proposals, finance, and network teams to align pricing strategies with business goals. Influence stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation, leveraging pricing expertise and industry knowledge to establish mutually beneficial partnerships and agreements. Develop and maintain domain expertise across PBM and Enterprise profitability levers, including retail networking, enterprise dispensing, specialty dispensing, pharmaceutical manufacturer rebates, MAC pricing, and other product/clinical service offerings. Apply experience‑based pricing knowledge and insights to influence strategic decision‑making and develop pricing policies and initiatives. Mentor and coach team members to enhance business skills, industry expertise, and professional development. Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in PBM financial levers across multiple lines of business (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.). 3+ years in a leadership role. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications
Execution and delivery skills (planning, delivering, supporting projects). Business intelligence capabilities. Fast‑paced environment adaptability. Excellent executive communication and negotiation. Growth mindset, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Coaching and team‑diversity building. Education
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or relevant professional qualification. Master’s degree preferred. Compensation & Benefits
Typical annual base salary: $100,000 – $231,540. The role includes bonus, commission or short‑term incentive, equity award, and a comprehensive benefits package: medical, 401(k) matching, stock purchase plan, wellness programs, paid time off, flexible work schedules, tuition assistance, retiree medical access, and more.
