Job Summary The Assistant Director of Operations, Undergraduate Admissions supervises a team that evaluates and processes over 10,000 undergraduate applications to Augusta University per year. This includes monitoring and evaluating GPA and transcript evaluations and decision processing, as well as working with academic colleges to understand their admissions decisioning needs. The Assistant Director oversees tuition classification, communicates with students, and evaluates various tax and legal documents, following University System of Georgia policies. The Assistant Director also generates reports and queries to provide data and transparency throughout the GPA and transcript evaluation process for all undergraduate student types, contributing to university enrollment goals.
Responsibilities
Leading operations management for GPA and transcript evaluation, monitoring decision processes, ensuring consistency, performing audits, and maintaining data integrity between CRM and SIS.
Supervision: recruiting, selecting, training, and supervising a team of two staff members; conducting performance evaluations, setting goals, managing time and leave compliance, and performing quality control checks on document and data entry.
Tuition classification: utilizing USG and BOR policies to determine tuition classification and waiver eligibility for more than 1,500 incoming students each academic year, evaluating legal documentation and staying current on policies.
Reporting and process improvement: generating required or requested information for internal or external reports, organizing and presenting data, and assisting in training and policy implementation.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience related to processing, admissions operations, enrollment management, student services, or other related administrative operations.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in Technologies: Slate CRM, BANNER SIS, reporting systems, transfer articulation, or other student information systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Supervisory or leadership experience. Experience in Higher Education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Willingness to learn Slate CRM, Axiom, and Banner SIS.
Willingness to learn USG Tuition Classification policies and procedures.
Willingness to learn third‑party systems that support AU efforts.
Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently.
Shift/Salary/Benefits Shift: Days/M‑F (Work outside of standard business hours may be required) Pay Band: B10 Salary: $52,500 (to be commensurate with qualifications) Recruitment Period: Until Filled Benefits: health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System or Optional Retirement Plan, vacation time, sick leave, 13 paid holidays. Full‑time employees after 6 months may be considered for Tuition Assistance Program.
