Northside Hospital is an award‑winning, state‑of‑the‑art hospital continually expanding the quality and reach of care. This role offers an opportunity to partner with hospital management, staff, and physicians to drive process and operational improvement.
As an internal consultant you will:
Analyze hospital operations to identify improvement opportunities.
Design and recommend processes, systems, procedures, and operational changes to increase efficiency.
Establish performance measures and monitor trends in key performance indicators.
Collaborate with management and staff to develop and evaluate alternatives, select optimal solutions, and create implementation plans.
Research external benchmarks, including VHA and Health Care Advisory Board, to inform recommendations.
Facilitate organizational change through communication and educational workshops.
Develop project workplans, timelines, and coordinate project staff to meet objectives.
Ensure safety practices and promptly report equipment or safety issues.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Health Systems Engineering, Healthcare or Business Administration, or BS in Nursing.
Three years of experience in management engineering, operations improvement, healthcare consulting, or healthcare supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word; ability to use Access, Project, and Visio.
Experience in team process development, facilitation, and education.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
Prior healthcare experience.
Additional experience in team process development, facilitation, and education.
