Key Responsibilities As a Senior Associate you will work on commercial issues, advising management on acquisition processes and undertaking valuations for strategic priorities with a focus on intangible assets.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Commercial – advise businesses on valuation issues related to acquisitions or divestitures and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
Regulatory and Accounting – work with management to understand accounting implications of acquired intangible and financial assets.
Taxation – undertake valuations for fiscal purposes in the U.S. market and advise clients on all aspects of U.S. tax valuation issues.
Intangible Assets – specialize in valuing trademarks, brand names, core deposit intangibles, customer relationships, banking and other licenses, patents, technology and know‑how.
Qualifications
Required: A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 2 years of related business valuation work experience; OR a graduate degree and at least 1–2 years of related experience.
Previous business valuation experience.
Financial modeling skills, including building models from scratch.
Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Preferred: Valuation experience in a professional services/Big 4 firm.
Financial modeling experience.
Progress toward or achievement of a CFA.
ASA/AM designations are a plus with expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe.
Knowledge of leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot in a business setting.
