Our most important goal is to provide the highest standard of care to our residents in an environment that is safe and secure. You will be responsible for improving our residents' experience and maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Your focus will be on creating and overseeing the rollout of our activity program, which is key in the individualized care plan.

Activity Director's day‑to‑day will include:
Collaborating with staff and clinicians to understand how activities can promote healing and belonging.
Conducting needs assessments to ascertain physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
Determining individual interests and expectations regarding leisure time.
Determining and overseeing the use of available finances.
Developing an activities program that is both diverse and sensitive to our residents' requirements.
Purchasing or leasing supplies for all activities.
Sourcing, training, and monitoring the work of Activities Assistants.
Advertising events well in advance of their scheduled times.
Supervising and participating in events alongside staff and residents.
Compiling periodic reports that outline successes, constraints, and the way forward.
Arranging transportation and, when necessary, driving the facility bus to transport residents to and from appointments.
Providing assistance with crafts, projects, and other activities during routine visits to residents.
Ensuring that all life‑enrichment activity progress notes are informative and descriptive.
Maintaining a schedule of life‑enrichment activities, including movies, parties, games, and crafts, and encouraging resident participation.
Greeting all internal and external customers, guests, family members, vendors, and team members.
What we are looking for:
Strong interpersonal leadership skills, especially in delivering sensitive information to patients and/or families.
Valid driver’s license.
Alertness and attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Leadership and supervisory ability, and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Ability to make independent decisions regarding the above job duties.
Tactful dealing with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, vendors, and the general public.
Knowledge of activity practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long‑term care.
Schedule needs:
8‑hour shifts
Manager on duty weekends
Rotating holiday schedule
