Overview
HGA is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Northern California Healthcare practice group. This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging design professional to contribute to meaningful healthcare projects while gaining hands‑on experience in project coordination, technical documentation, and collaboration with seasoned architects, designers, and project managers. What You’ll Do
Assist in the coordination of healthcare projects from conceptual design to construction documentation
Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
Contribute to design discussions, presentations, and client meetings
Support project management activities, including tracking project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
In This Role You Will
Assist Project Managers, Project Architects, and Senior Designers in the development of design concepts and technical documentation
Support the preparation of design and construction documents using Revit and other industry‑standard software
Work closely with internal project teams and consultants to ensure coordination and integration of project elements
Review drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy, compliance, and consistency
Assist in researching building codes, materials, and technical solutions to support project requirements
Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors, taking notes and assisting with follow‑up tasks
Support the team in reviewing RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings as part of the construction phase
Learn from experienced team members, gaining exposure to a variety of project types, design strategies, and delivery methods
You Will Need To Have
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field; eligible for licensure in California
LEED accreditation preferred
5+ years of professional experience working on architectural projects; healthcare experience a plus but not required
Strong foundation in architectural design principles, building systems, and construction documentation
Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools is beneficial
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills required
Progress toward architectural licensure encouraged, and mentorship opportunities will be available
Salary Information Salary range: $86,300 – $106,600, depending on experience and qualifications. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs, which include an annual bonus and success‑sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans, as well as PTO and short‑ and long‑term disability programs.
