Position Overview The Assistant General Counsel will provide legal support for real estate transactions, lending activities, and related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate documents for commercial and multi-family real estate transactions.
Structure and document loan agreements, security instruments, and related financing documents.
Advise on acquisition, development, and disposition of real estate assets.
Provide legal guidance on affordable housing programs and compliance with applicable laws.
Assist with title, survey, and due diligence review for real estate transactions.
Support closing processes for loans and property transactions, including coordination with internal teams and external counsel.
Address legal issues related to construction financing, permanent financing, and refinancing.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the U.S.
5+ years of experience
in real estate law, with a focus on commercial and multi-family transactions and lending activities.
Strong understanding of financing structures and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
