Job Summary As supervised and delegated by a Registered Nurse, provide direct patient care in the clinical setting.

Essential Functions

Perform essential functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

Interact professionally with patients and families; treat them with respect and dignity, identifying and addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs.

Effectively and appropriately communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co‑workers, demonstrating customer‑service excellence.

Provide direct patient care, consult with nursing staff/providers as required, and adjust nursing‑care processes to ensure optimal outcomes.

Assess and reassess pain adequately; utilize appropriate pain‑management techniques.

Educate patients and families regarding pain management.

Demonstrate knowledge of lab requirements and requisitions.

Collect a baseline summary of the patient’s medical data, including body temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, and blood pressure.

Maintain accurate, continuous documentation for all assessments, treatments, and evaluations; ensure documentation meets current standards and policies.

Make decisions that reflect knowledge of facts, diseases/surgical conditions, required care, and good judgment.

Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the patient life span and provide age‑appropriate care.

Interpret patient data to identify age‑specific needs and provide necessary care.

Qualifications Strong organizational sense and a passion for patient care, knowledge of quality standards and service excellence., High level of competence in advanced life‑support, knowledge of medical terminology, currently licensed as a LPN, non‑violent manner of interaction with patients, documentation and other
