Vendor Management Analyst The Vendor Management Analyst reports to the VMO Director and has expertise in sourcing and contract negotiations for the Information Technology categories of expenditure such as Application Development, Ecommerce, Enterprise Software, Technical Consulting, Networking Hardware, Data Center Hardware, PCs/Tablets/Peripherals, Hosting Services, Mobile Service Providers, Telecommunications, and more. Responsibilities include determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and leading company-wide initiatives to improve cost‑effective use of technology.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
Review documentation and legal drafts of contracts to ensure compliance with Lennar’s policies.
Manage category sourcing initiatives involving contract development, negotiations, and supplier management.
Oversee renewals of all expiring agreements and specific low‑risk projects.
Develop negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and manage contracts.
Maintain supplier relationship management, engagement, and continuous improvement of supplier performance.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to define business requirements and develop sourcing strategy.
Create and analyze financial and other relevant analyses related to sourced products.
Analyze historical spend to uncover potential sourcing opportunities.
Resolve conflicts or service‑level issues regarding supplier performance.
Apply IT minimum standards and ensure proper documentation.
Effectively communicate program needs and status with internal and external stakeholders.
Utilize procurement systems and procure‑to‑pay processes effectively.
Navigate conflicts inherent in procurement operations between suppliers and stakeholders.
Support and drive strategies that deliver quick wins and longer‑term benefits.
Requirements
2+ years of contract‑negotiating experience with business contractual terms, strategy planning, analysis, and review of existing agreements.
Preferred experience with large technology partners and VARs such as AT&T, CDW, Cisco, IBM, Insight, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce, Verizon, and VMware.
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or Juris Doctorate preferred.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements This is primarily a sedentary office position that requires the incumbent to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
