Responsibilities Basic Responsibility:

The Senior Director of Finance is responsible for leading the organization’s financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and cash management functions. This role provides strategic leadership, analytical insight, and financial guidance to enhance organizational performance. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Senior Director identifies revenue-generating opportunities, drives cost optimization, and supports key decision-making through data-driven financial strategies. This position is also accountable for forecasting cash flow needs to maintain liquidity and optimizing investment income within established policy guidelines, while overseeing compliance in areas such as sales tax, escheatment, and regulatory reporting.

Essential Functions:

Lead the development and maintenance of the five-year business plan and build financial models for various strategic scenarios.

Coordinate the preparation of the annual operating plan with input from the Senior Leadership Team.

Manage and update rolling monthly forecasts, incorporating current financial results, market conditions, and business developments.

Develop real-time analytics, dashboards, and KPIs to support strategic planning and drive operational performance.

Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support organizational initiatives.

Cash Operations:

Forecast the organization's cash position to ensure adequate liquidity and optimize investment income in alignment with the investment policy.

Manage day-to-day cash operations, including analysis and reporting.

Evaluate and recommend investment options in accordance with the organization’s investment policy.

Review and update the investment policy as needed, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.

Monitor investment performance and propose strategic adjustments as necessary.

Serve as the primary liaison with banking and investment service providers.

Compliance:

Ensure organizational compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations.

Oversee the preparation and submission of sales and use tax, admission tax, and other required filings.

Manage the year-end financial reporting process and act as liaison with relevant regulatory agencies.

Supervise the escheatment process for unclaimed property and related compliance.

Leadership:

Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture aligned with the organization's mission, values, and performance standards.

Champion cross-functional collaboration by enhancing financial systems and processes that improve workflow efficiency across departments.

Promote financial literacy and transparency across the organization to drive informed decision-making.

Encourage a continuous improvement mindset by identifying and implementing enhancements to financial operations, systems, and team capabilities.
