Position Profile The Facility Security Officer administers and enforces the organization’s security policies in compliance with NISPOM, DCSA regulations, and company policies. This role helps maintain compliance with all government security requirements for classified contracts and supports personnel and physical security programs. The position is primarily based at either the Camarillo, CA or Norcross, GA facility, with occasional travel to other Safran DSI locations.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Industrial Security in implementing and managing all aspects of the industrial security program.

Maintain personnel security records and submit security clearance applications via DISS and NBIS; ensure CE Updates are submitted on schedule.

Support the preparation and submission of visit authorizations (VARs) and process affiliate visit requests.

Create and deliver security education, training, and awareness products.

Assist with security self‑inspections and reviews; act as alternate POC for security compliance inspections.

Maintain document control for classified materials; oversee proper marking, transmission, and destruction.

Support incident reporting, administrative inquiries, and mitigation efforts related to security violations or suspicious contacts.

Assist with the Insider Threat Program.

Assist with the Annual Implementation and Compliance Report and other SSA‑related reporting.

Support compliance with NISPOM, DoD manuals, and the company’s security procedures.

Present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, customers, and business leadership.

Carry out multiple assignments concurrently.

Perform additional duties and modify functions as required by business necessity.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

5–8 years of experience as a NISP security professional.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels and external government agencies.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skill to write original and effective reports, policies, instructions, and correspondence.

U.S. citizenship required.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

Familiarity with security clearance processes.

Experience with FOCI.

Experience conducting security incident inquiries.

Experience working in an ITAR environment.

Industrial Security Professional, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, or other professional certifications.

Travel: 10% to other DSI locations.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 annual salary, plus participation in an individual performance bonus plan.
