Junior Help Desk Technician - All shifts available - Active Top Secret required General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Junior Help Desk Technician to provide world‑class IT support at the highest levels of the federal government. The position is based in Washington, DC, and requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries via phone, chat, email, and ticket.

Provide technical support for desktops, notebooks, printers, iPads, and peripherals.

Diagnose and resolve issues on Microsoft Windows and macOS platforms.

Support Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and other enterprise applications.

Document incidents and requests in the ticketing system and follow resolution process.

Escalate tickets to appropriate teams when necessary.

Assist with on‑site installation, repair, and configuration of hardware and software.

Maintain shared drives, network drives, and software updates as required.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in IT or related field.

Minimum 3 years of technical support or related experience.

CompTIA Security+ certification required within 6 months of start.

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and adaptability.

Basic English Language assessment requirement.

Knowledge of troubleshooting, networking, and application support.

US citizenship required.

Shift Options

Mon‑Fri 08:00‑16:30 (plus 2 weekends per month)

Sat‑Wed 16:00‑00:00

Thu‑Mon 16:00‑00:00

Sat‑Wed 00:00‑08:00

Thu‑Mon 00:00‑08:00

4 holidays per year; shift may change based on availability.

Benefits & Compensation Hourly rate expected $29.84–$40.38, salary determined by experience and location. Total rewards include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, disability, life, and travel insurance.
