Business Development Representative (BDR)
based in
California
to join Anecdotes’ GTM team. As a
BDR
you’ll play a major role in driving the growth of our customer base by generating leads and creating opportunities for the sales team.

Imagine a world where enterprises seamlessly collect and standardize data from hundreds of SaaS tools, cloud infrastructures, private networks, databases, and more. We bring that vision to life, providing continuous, real‑time visibility into their Security Compliance posture.
What You’ll Do
Research, prospect and qualify potential customers, within the assigned US/Canada territory
Run short qualification meetings with potential customers who inquire on the website
Book discovery meetings for Account Executives that convert into pipeline opportunities
Leverage sales and lead generation tools (Outreach, Nooks, Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Warmly, Gong) to identify prospects and activate them in multi‑touch inbound & outbound sequences
Build a pipeline by initiating conversations and building relationships with potential customers using various methods such as calling, personalized/research‑backed emails, LinkedIn messages, and events
Collaborate with marketing on monthly campaigns and inbound/outbound initiatives
Pair up with an Account Executive to outbound prospect into key target accounts in your territory
Travel to events or conferences within North America to support pipeline generation activities
Requirements
Previous B2B sales experience, preferably as a SDR/BDR in a SaaS startup environment
Experience with CRM and Sales Engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Nooks, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Chili Piper, Warmly, etc)
Familiarity with enterprise sales process, personas and sales motion; proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Experience or familiarity with the security & compliance domain; ideally with awareness of GRC compliance
Familiarity with Cloud services, Application Development lifecycle, Cloud Security
Based in California and able to work “standard” business hours – Must
Ability to travel to events or conferences in the assigned territory
Process and detail‑oriented; able to thrive in an intense and high‑volume business; strong time management skills
Self‑disciplined and focused to effectively manage daily workloads in a remote environment with team members across different time zones
The ability to work with cross‑functional teams, including marketing and sales, is essential
Can‑do attitude, highly organized, and strong work ethic; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
