We are seeking a highly skilled
VMware Solutions Architect
to design, implement, and optimize enterprise virtualization and cloud infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of VMware-based environments across the organization. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, develop architectural standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Architect and maintain VMware virtualization platforms, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and related technologies.
Design and implement enterprise‑grade solutions for compute, storage, and networking VMware environments.
Develop and enforce architecture standards, policies, and best practices for virtualization and cloud integration.
Collaborate with project teams and enterprise architects to ensure seamless system integration and operational handoff.
Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of virtualized infrastructure.
Provide technical guidance on disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity strategies.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve infrastructure flexibility and cost‑effectiveness.
Document system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for maintainability and compliance.
Serve as a subject matter expert for VMware technologies and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Required
7+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in VMware architecture and engineering roles.
Expert‑level knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and related virtualization technologies.
Strong understanding of storage (SAN/NAS), networking, and security within virtualized environments.
Hands‑on experience with VMware tools such as vSAN, NSX, and Horizon.
Proficiency in capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex VMware environments.
Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerCLI, Python, or similar).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience with hybrid cloud integration (AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or equivalent).
Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions and compliance frameworks.
