The Sr. Business Systems and Process Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing business processes and systems within BD Global Supply Chain. The role acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into system requirements and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, design, and documentation of complex business processes and system requirements across various departments within BD.
Ensure daily support of SAP systems operations for Supply Chain functionalities affecting the TJ EMI Plant, Distribution facilities, and cross‑functional systems to ensure business continuity.
Support all MMS Global ERP systems to allow MMS functions and processes to operate within compliance standards.
Resolve SAP configuration, master data, demand planning, materials management, logistics, and quality system issues; collaborate with IT processes.
Troubleshoot system issues, differentiate process from system problems, and provide support for SAP data maintenance or error investigation as directed.
Present systemic issues to the systems team for change or enhancement determination.
Serve as process integration key POC for new development; ensure urgent error resolution for internal and external customer satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and define clear, concise, measurable business requirements.
Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications for development, enhancements, and integrations.
Conduct research and analysis of existing systems and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and optimization areas.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and other elicitation techniques to gather comprehensive requirements and validate solutions.
Develop and maintain process maps, flowcharts, use cases, and documentation to align teams.
Partner with IT during system design, development, testing, and deployment, ensuring quality standards are met.
Lead and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and post‑implementation support.
Provide training and support to end‑users on new systems and processes.
Act as subject matter expert for assigned business areas and systems.
Contribute to project planning, risk management, and change management.
Continuously monitor and evaluate solution effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years progressive experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar, preferably in a multinational or regulated industry.
Expertise in business process mapping, analysis, and re‑engineering methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing complex requirements.
Proven ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and work effectively with IT development teams.
Proficiency with business analysis tools (Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart).
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with SAP ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis) and/or CRM systems is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Fluency in English required; knowledge of other European languages (Mexican, German, French) a plus.
On‑Site Work Requirement For most roles, BD requires a minimum of 4 days of in‑office presence per week; remote or field‑based positions have separate arrangements.
