Job Description Summary
The Sr. Business Systems and Process Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing business processes and systems within BD Global Supply Chain. This individual will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into effective system requirements and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, design, and documentation of complex business processes and system requirements across various departments within BD.
Ensure daily support of SAP systems operations for Supply Chain functionalities affecting the TJ EMI Plant, Distribution facilities and cross‑functional systems to ensure business continuity. Support all MMS Global ERP systems to allow MMS functions and processes to operate within compliance standards.
This individual will require existing experience in SAP; some SAP configuration understanding is preferred. A good foundation of SAP Master Data understanding is important.
Understanding of Demand Planning, Materials management and Logistics systems + Understanding of Quality systems and some Knowledge and experience interacting with IT processes are beneficial.
Daily activity could include troubleshooting System Issues, Identifying and differentiating Process from System problems. Supporting SAP Data Maintenance or Error investigation as required by daily needs directed by Plant Management and Systems Team Management.
Systemic issues will be presented to the systems team for change or enhancement determination.
Serve as process integration Key POC for new development as assigned. Ensure a high sense of urgency for error resolution to maintain Internal and External customer satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and define clear, concise, and measurable business requirements.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for system development, enhancements, and integrations.
Conduct in‑depth research and analysis of existing systems and processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and other elicitation techniques to gather comprehensive requirements and validate solutions with stakeholders.
Develop and maintain process maps, flowcharts, use cases, and other documentation to ensure clear understanding and alignment across teams.
Partner with IT teams during system design, development, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
Lead and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and post‑implementation support activities.
Provide training and support to end‑users on new systems and processes, ensuring successful adoption and utilization.
Act as a subject matter expert for assigned business areas and systems, providing guidance and recommendations on best practices.
Contribute to project planning, risk management, and change management activities.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role, preferably within a multinational or regulated industry.
Proven expertise in business process mapping, analysis, and re‑engineering methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Strong experience in gathering, documenting, and managing complex business and functional requirements.
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and work effectively with IT development teams.
Proficiency in using business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart).
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with SAP ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis) and/or CRM systems is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other European languages (e.g., Mexican, German, French) is a plus.
