Opportunity The AI Finance Manager is a crucial role that supports the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications. The successful candidate will apply deep expertise in finance planning, reporting, close, and consolidation, along with skills in enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, machine learning, and generative AI to support key finance personas.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing our EY AI Finance service offering to create an industry‑agnostic data model that ensures data consistency and interoperability across finance applications. The role requires close collaboration with the Data Lead and Product Owner to design the EY AI Finance Blueprint on a foundation of accurate, consistent, and reliable finance application data architecture.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of complex technical initiatives, ensuring accountability for performance and results.
Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.
Drive continuous process improvement by identifying innovative solutions through research and analysis.
Support the design and implementation of an extensible common information model for the FDL Blueprint.
Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, entity‑relationship diagrams, and data lineage maps.
Implement a robust data governance framework for the FDL and ensure scalability, performance, and security.
Collaborate with data scientists to apply machine learning and generative AI techniques to finance applications and personas.
Maintain current knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, data management, and Azure technologies to drive efficiency and insight.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels and consistently deliver high‑quality client services on time and within budget.
Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes.
Manage client service delivery expectations and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills.
Provide constructive on‑the‑job feedback and coaching to team members.
Create an innovative, inclusive, team‑oriented work environment and mentor junior consultants.
Execute the overall data management strategy for finance applications and collaborate with cross‑service teams to ensure alignment and integration of data initiatives.
Define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications considering ML and Gen AI.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with ~5 years of related work experience, or a graduate degree with ~4 years.
Minimum 4 years of data management experience, 1 year focused on finance application data, data modeling, and financial modeling.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management.
Experience with machine learning techniques, generative AI technologies, and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, MS SQL, Python).
Knowledge of finance applications and financial modeling (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and modeling tools.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Ideal Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with relevant experience in finance data management, modeling, and ML.
