The opportunity The AI Finance Senior Manager is a crucial role responsible for supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications. The successful candidate will leverage their deep expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close/consolidation) coupled with deep skills in enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, Machine Learning, and Generative AI (Gen AI) to support key finance personas. One key responsibility will focus on developing and implementing our “FDL consulting blueprint” service offering, with the goal of creating an industry‑agnostic data model to ensure data consistency and interoperability across finance applications.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of system architecture solutions in collaboration with technical teams.

Tailor technology platforms to business processes, ensuring clients maximize their investment through effective use and continuous improvement.

Manage complex processes, solutions, and projects while maintaining a focus on quality and risk management.

Support Data Management Strategy Execution, including execution of overall data management strategy for finance applications.

Define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications, leveraging Machine Learning and Gen AI technologies.

Lead the design and implementation of an extensible common information model for the FDL Blueprint.

Develop and maintain documentation: data dictionaries, entity‑relationship diagrams, and data lineage maps.

Lead the development and implementation of the FDL Blueprint solution offering, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Collaborate with data scientists and finance SMR’s to identify opportunities to apply Machine Learning and Gen AI techniques to finance applications/personas and extend the FDL.

Support establishment and maintenance of a robust data governance framework for the FDL.

Stay current with advancements in Machine Learning, Gen AI, Data Management and Azure technologies and identify innovative solutions.

Ability to travel as required for client engagements and project needs.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Computer Science.

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, scenario analysis, variance analysis, reporting, cross‑functional collaboration.

Proficiency with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms: Anaplan (certified model builder preferred), Oracle EPM Cloud Suite (PBCS, ePBCS, FCCS), Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, Tagetik, or similar.

Solid understanding of financial data architecture and governance: data modeling, dimensional design, chart of accounts structuring, hierarchy management, data quality standards, reconciliation processes, master data management, finance application knowledge (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Excellent communication, collaboration, problem‑solving, and oral/written skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment supporting emerging technologies.

Strong business skills: relationship management, commercial awareness, communication.

Willingness to travel to meet client needs.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Degree emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science, MIS, or IT.

Strong ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and stay ahead of industry trends.

Exceptional interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client trust.

Proactive problem‑solving and decision‑making approach.

Experience leading diverse teams in dynamic environments.

What We Offer You

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on performance and recognized for the value you bring. Base salary range for this job in all US locations: $171,600 to $392,100. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento): $205,900 to $445,700. Base salaries within those ranges are determined through a variety of factors including education, experience, skills and geography. Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Hybrid model: most external, client‑serving roles expected to work in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.

Flexible vacation policy: you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your circumstances, and you’ll receive time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence.
