The opportunity Within EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution sub‑service line, our Software Strategy Group provides top‑tier investment and acquisition guidance, strategy, and transaction advisory for the software sector. Every year we help hundreds of software companies and investors make crucial business decisions. On every engagement, you will work alongside our team of former CTOs and CEOs with deep software expertise to learn from the best.

Your Key Responsibilities As an Experienced Associate, you will engage in conversations with private equity investors and tech leaders, conduct thorough market and competitive research, assess company strengths to advise on growth and technology strategies, and clearly present your conclusions to both the team and clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Outstanding academic performance, with a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, or analytics and at least one year of related work experience; or a graduate degree and relevant work experience.

Experience in client‑facing or technical roles in similar industries (e.g., consulting, banking, tech).

Demonstrated interest in tech through startup experience, internships, coursework, extracurricular activities, or research and writing.

Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analysis aptitude.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Effective organization and time‑management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.

Ideally, you will have

Ability to assess complex business problems and formulate potential solutions.

Confidence to establish meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.

Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $110,000 approved for all US locations; variable pay and equity components may apply.
