Position Summary The Senior FP&A Analyst will collaborate with FP&A Managers to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. This role is suited for a candidate with a strong accounting background, advanced spreadsheet skills, automation capabilities, and AI‑assisted techniques to enhance financial reporting and provide strategic recommendations that align with organizational goals.
This individual will assist in developing and maintaining the systems needed to aggregate accounting information into a standard set of financials and transform financial data into meaningful insights. Streamlining financial reporting processes through automation and enhanced reporting capabilities
Identifying financial trends and recommending actionable strategies to improve profitability
Objectives
Support FP&A Managers in enhancing financial planning, reporting, and internal system improvements
Utilize advanced spreadsheet capabilities (Excel, Google Sheets) and automation tools (Google Apps Scripts, Power Automate, Zapier) to develop effective reporting and dashboards
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including clearly articulated summaries for leadership
Conduct detailed variance analysis, recognize significant trends, and propose profitability enhancements
Monitor and evaluate key financial metrics to assist in achieving organizational objectives
Incorporate AI tools to simplify and improve reporting and analytical processes
Competencies
Proficient in preparing comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis and meaningful commentary
Skilled in managing and organizing complex financial datasets
Ability to efficiently perform ad‑hoc financial analyses and develop practical recommendations
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month‑end closing procedures
Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet tools (Excel and Google Sheets), including complex formulas, pivot tables, and scripting
Familiarity or interest in using automation tools (Google Apps Scripts, Microsoft Fabric/Power BI, Power Automate, Zapier)
Comfortable with AI tools for assisting in accounting and analytical tasks
Capable of analyzing and interpreting financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows)
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
At least 1‑3 years of work experience in Finance and Accounting
