Account Executive, Research and Strategy Do you love digging into information, analyzing data, and turning complex findings into clear direction for strategy and storytelling? RALLY seeks an analytical, detail‑oriented researcher for our Insights and Strategy team.
In this role you will bring research to life across advocacy, public education, and policy campaigns. You’ll work with multiple client teams, contributing to audience understanding, message framing, insight generation, and strategy development. You’ll support quantitative and qualitative research, conduct desk research, monitor media and social trends, and synthesize findings into actionable reports and recommendations.
Responsibilities Conduct desk research on clients, issues, audiences, peer organizations, and cultural trends, pulling from AI tools, academic databases, media monitoring platforms, and public records. Monitor media coverage, social media discourse, and sentiment around relevant topics using media monitoring and social listening tools (training provided). Assist in planning and executing research efforts, including surveys, message testing, qualitative interviews, and focus groups. Review, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources into clear summaries, insights, and strategic recommendations. Support qualitative research by helping schedule, prepare materials, observe sessions, and take detailed notes. Assist with quantitative research by reviewing survey tabs, identifying patterns, and summarizing key findings. Contribute to the development of audience personas, messaging briefs, and narrative insights. Draft background materials, briefing documents, memos, reports, and thought leadership content. Create clear, visually compelling presentations and data visualizations (Google Slides). Collaborate with strategy, digital, and creative teams to ensure insights inform messaging, content, targeting, and campaign execution. Help maintain internal research libraries, audience profiles, and shared resources for persuasion and behavioral science. Support new business efforts by preparing research pulls, developing audience insights, sharing background summaries, and drafting proposal content. Participate in client meetings and internal brainstorms, contributing a research‑backed perspective.
Qualifications Must‑Haves 3–5 years of experience in research, strategic communications, public interest advocacy, political campaigns, market research, academic research, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and synthesize it into clear insights and recommendations. Strong writing and editing skills, including translating data or research into compelling, audience‑focused language. Comfort working with data, including reading quantitative survey tabs, identifying themes, and articulating takeaways. Basic understanding of statistics or survey methodology (formal coursework not required). Experience supporting or conducting research (desk research, qualitative support, or quantitative analysis). Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across different teams. Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new issues, audiences, and tools. Effective collaborator with strong verbal communication skills.
Nice‑to‑Haves Experience with media monitoring or social listening platforms (training provided on specific tools). Exposure to public opinion research, message testing, audience segmentation, or campaign evaluation. Experience translating research into messaging frameworks, briefs, or strategy recommendations. Familiarity with advocacy, social impact communications, or issue‑based campaigns. Experience drafting reports, white papers, or research‑driven content. Background in journalism, political science, sociology, psychology, public health, anthropology, communications, or related social sciences. Experience supporting new business proposals through research pulls or background summaries.
