As a seasoned and strategic professional, the Corporate Derivatives Salesperson leads directional strategy, staying current in the field. Recognized as a technical authority, this role focuses on originating and distributing corporate derivatives, requiring strong product expertise and market understanding across various industries. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are essential to influence colleagues and clients, and to manage an evolving client portfolio with adaptability and proactive engagement. Responsibilities
Originate and sell corporate derivatives and finance solutions to Corporate clients. Engage clients in selling derivatives, securities, FX, and commodities. Drive team strategy across product lines. Achieve market and wallet share goals for key client franchises. Originate and execute landmark derivatives transactions. Work independently or jointly to meet growth and market share targets. Partner with key businesses to ensure proper product deployment based on client needs. Foster collaboration with internal partners to enhance client engagement and deliver expertise. Provide daily coverage for existing client groups. Lead client discussions to address needs and originate new derivatives trades/deals. Analyze client businesses/exposures to provide optimal derivatives and finance solutions, coordinating with partners. Collaborate with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance) for governance and infrastructure. Promote responsible finance, good governance, supervision, expense discipline, and ethics. Assess transaction risk/reward, upholding firm reputation. Adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and Global Markets/Securities Services Plan of Supervision. Exercise sound judgment, ensure compliance with laws/regulations, and escalate/report control issues transparently. Qualifications
6-10 years of experience for VP level; 11+ years of experience for Director level Proven track record in client-facing roles, growing relationships through value-added service and commercial skills. Demonstrated expertise in corporate derivatives sales. Entrepreneurial approach for business origination and relationship development. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to manage evolving client portfolios. Education
Bachelor's/University degree. Compensation & Benefits
Primary location: New York, New York. Base salary range: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00. In addition to salary, Citi may offer discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
