Tax Manager

What you will do
Facilitate client engagement and manage client relationships, including billing and collections.
Serve as point of contact for clients.
Sign tax returns.
Develop, train, and lead team members, providing detailed review and analysis of their work and monitoring key performance metrics.
Schedule and manage workload of direct reports to promote efficiency and profitability.
Contribute to strategic planning and direction of the Tax department.
Engage in business development opportunities, growing new clients and expanding services for existing ones.
Monitor legislative/regulatory tax law developments and update tax practices accordingly.
Lead within a focus area, including serving on a tax committee.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required).
CPA or Enrollment Agent (EA) certification with a minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience.
Experience conceptualizing, developing, and monitoring workflow for tax preparation.
Strong working knowledge of tax law and professional standards/regulations.
Experience preparing and reviewing complex returns for S‑Corporations, C‑Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, high‑wealth individuals, consolidated or multi‑state returns, and nonprofits.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree (preferred).
Additional professional designations or certifications showing specialization in areas of taxation (preferred).
