Director, Compensation Strategies – KPMG US Join KPMG to develop and lead the compensation strategy for the Tax business. This role serves as the primary liaison with Tax leadership, shepherds compensation programs, and drives strategic decisions that align with KPMG’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

Drive the compensation strategy for KPMG’s Tax business, acting as the primary compensation team liaison to Tax’s leadership team; serve as a compensation subject‑matter professional and manage the development, implementation, and communication of total rewards strategies and programs that support the function’s objectives.

Serve as an internal liaison and consultant with client groups on all compensation matters, including day‑to‑day administration, special projects, and the year‑end compensation cycle; collaborate with Tax HR and Finance leaders to analyze complex problems and provide strategic or tactical solutions.

Prepare and deliver presentations to function leadership that identify issues and include total compensation tactical and strategic recommendations and/or solutions; interpret market survey results to establish funding requirements for pay programs.

Lead compensation efforts through relevant workstreams, steering committees, and ad‑hoc projects throughout the year.

Research new approaches to Tax compensation and propose future‑forward ideas and concepts for consideration.

Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum twelve years of recent, broad‑based compensation experience in a business or financial services consulting environment or other high‑growth industry.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Strong PC skills including Excel and database experience; PeopleSoft exposure is a plus.

Solid analytical, organizational, project‑management, and influencing skills.

Ability to think strategically and link action plans to critical business priorities.

Excellent ability to multi‑task on several key projects; strong oral and written communication skills.
