We currently have an opportunity for you to join our Insurance Tax practice as a Manager, focusing on captive insurance tax engagements. Working with dedicated professionals in the insurance industry, you will be involved in dynamic captive insurance tax consulting, tax compliance and captive insurance feasibility and optimization projects to develop your tax technical knowledge with captive insurance industry clients. Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, you will juggle multiple tasks in a high performing environment. You will oversee preparation and delivery of captive insurance tax consulting memos and tax opinions, captive insurance feasibility studies, financial statement audits and review of tax returns. You will also be responsible for relationship management, including building effective client relationships; managing the staffing and economics of engagements; and analyzing engagement results to continue to provide exceptional client service to our insurance clients. Prepare and deliver captive insurance tax consulting memos and opinions. Conduct captive insurance feasibility studies with specific commentary on tax implications. Perform financial statement audits and review of tax returns. Manage client relationships, staffing, economics, and engagement results. Skills & Attributes for Success
To qualify for the role
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of Tax experience. CPA or licensed Attorney is required. Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101. Income tax support for audits and income tax experience for Insurance companies as well as C Corporations. At least 5 years of experience in preparing 1120, 1120 PC, 1120 L and consolidated group returns; experience reviewing these returns is a must. Experience working in OneSource and/or Corptax environments. Experience with captive insurance companies is a bonus. Ideally, you will also have
Knowledge of how captive insurance companies operate. Direct experience in state and local taxation (e.g., state return compliance, state income tax accounting, state apportionment fundamentals).
