Shift-Rotating The Patient Care Technician Is Responsible For
Assist the patient with changing/dressing
Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair
Identify abnormal findings that could adversely affect surgical and patient outcomes, including abnormal vital signs, Accucheck results, lab, EKG, and CXR results
Report all abnormal findings to the appropriate nursing staff
Escort patients to holding rooms
Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings such as jewelry, dentures, contact lenses, etc.
Verify patient information
Orient patients and families to the environment
Obtain vital signs
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Provides basic clinical skills required to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities, record and report pertinent clinical data, and use of specialized patient care equipment.
Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
Work Experience One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of the intern program.

Salary Range: Minimum $18.63/hour - Maximum $28.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
