About The Role The Learning Experience – Bushwick is hiring a dedicated
Toddler Teacher
to guide our classroom of energetic and curious 2‑year‑olds. Our program emphasizes hands‑on exploration, early independence, and meaningful routines that help toddlers grow socially, emotionally, and academically. If you have experience working with toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting and enjoy leading an active classroom, we want to speak with you.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operations of a 2‑year‑old classroom, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and age‑appropriate space.
Implement The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum, supporting toddlers’ cognitive, language, motor, and social‑emotional skills.
Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, modeling strong classroom practices and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Build trusting relationships with families and provide daily updates on children’s routines and progress.
Maintain compliance with New York State early childhood licensing and health/safety standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), OR
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, OR
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with young children plus high school diploma
Additional Requirements
Experience leading or supporting a toddler or preschool classroom preferred.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for 2‑year‑olds.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Must meet all New York State early childhood educator qualifications.
