Executive Recruiter with Adams & Martin Group Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join a reputable firm in South Dakota. The ideal candidate will handle complex corporate disputes, including corporate governance, fiduciary duties, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder issues. The role requires strong analytical abilities, exceptional writing skills, and the capacity to manage sophisticated matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Base Pay Range $140,000.00/yr – $190,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in complex corporate litigation, including shareholder derivative actions, breach of fiduciary duty claims, M&A litigation, and other corporate governance disputes.

Manage all stages of litigation, including case assessment, strategy development, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Conduct in‑depth legal research and draft high‑quality briefs, motions, memoranda, and other litigation filings.

Handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings.

Collaborate with transactional and corporate attorneys to analyze corporate structures, agreements, and regulatory issues relevant to disputes.

Advise clients—including corporations, boards, officers, and shareholders—on litigation risks, strategies, and potential resolutions.

Support settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution efforts.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of developments in corporate law and relevant judicial decisions.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Active membership in the South Dakota Bar or willingness to obtain South Dakota Bar admission promptly after hire.

Admission to federal courts is a plus.

2+ years of experience in corporate litigation, securities litigation, or complex commercial litigation.

Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Strong understanding of corporate law, fiduciary duty principles, and business structures.

Ability to manage multiple complex matters and work effectively under deadlines.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical abilities.

Background in M&A or corporate transaction work.

Familiarity with e‑discovery tools, document review management, and case‑management software.
