Job Description Senior Utility Engineer, Highway Design
– Piscataway or Bloomfield, NJ. This role focuses on New Jersey Transportation projects, ensuring seamless integration of utility infrastructure with roadway projects.
Collaborate with utility companies, design teams, and stakeholders to integrate utility infrastructure and resolve conflicts with NJTA, NJDOT, and municipal clients.
Responsibilities
Manage scope, schedule, and budget for utility infrastructure projects.
Build strong client relationships and act as primary point of contact for utility clients.
Represent AECOM at meetings with NJTA, NJDOT, municipal clients, and utility owners to resolve conflicts on highway projects.
Direct a team to perform record research, develop SUE programs, identify conflicts, and design relocation schemes acceptable to the companies.
Review and assist with development of private utility alignments to avoid interferences.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus six years of related experience or equivalent.
NJDOT Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in utility engineering services.
Experience in utility engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of utility relocation processes, standards, and regulations for NJTA and NJDOT.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
