Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical system design, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling in collaboration with project teams. Conduct detailed engineering calculations, load analysis, and system layouts using relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.). Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams. Coordinate with architects, general contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct site visits to oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications. Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements. Assist in proposal development, cost estimation, and client presentations as needed. Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a mechanical contracting environment. Licensure:
PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred or ability to obtain. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-related design software. Strong understanding of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping. Experience with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and other relevant industry codes and standards. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects. Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients. Benefits:
