Schedule: 07:00am – 3:30pm.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates workflow and activities of staff-level technologists and ancillary staff to maintain patient flow and minimize time between patients.
Performs duties of an MRI technologist: positions patients, sets image parameters, injects contrast, and films studies using a laser camera.
Reviews and makes recommendations for revision of policies, procedures and/or regulations and assists in updating the department training manual.
Serves as an educational resource for staff instruction; monitors and trains technologists in proper techniques, safety, and quality assurance.
Assures proper use of MARS system including registration, billing and other patient-related functions; prepares reports and maintains records of exams performed using MARS; resolves incomplete lists and ensures proper use of the system for quality assurance and verification of films taken.
Reports equipment in need of repair/maintenance and ensures supply levels are properly maintained; makes recommendations for equipment and supply purchases.
Provides input and recommends personnel actions including performance appraisals, merit increases and promotions for assigned personnel.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree required or 1-3 years formal training in Radiology Technology.
Experience:
1–2 years progressively more responsible job‑related experience functioning as an MRI technologist.
Licenses and Certifications:
ARRT MRI within 1 year required; must be ARRT registry eligible.
Hiring range:
USD $42.82 – $78.27 per hour.
