Position Summary As a Labor and Delivery nurse you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional nursing care in the patient population, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC’s nursing organization
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
Job Requirements
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
Certification in basic life support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire (offered during orientation)
Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification required within 8 weeks of hire.
1 year experience Labor and Delivery required
Experience with electronic health record preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
Basic computer proficiency.
Fluency in another language a plus.

Compensation Range $39.02 - $90.05
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
