Sr. Manager / Director of Product Marketing (San Diego / Bay Area, CA) SoftEye is seeking a Product Marketing leader to shape the narrative for our augmented reality (AR) platform and drive go-to-market strategy across enterprise and OEM partners.

This role is a key part of SoftEye’s global AR platform go-to-market build-out as we expand our presence across U.S. and international technology markets.

You will translate AR system-level capabilities into differentiated value, define platform positioning, influence roadmap direction, and support cross-functional teams as we scale. If you have deep experience turning complex AR system architecture into compelling stories for enterprise customers or developer ecosystems, we’d love to connect.

Key Responsibilities

Define AR platform positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation across system software, perception technology, and integrated hardware–software experiences.

Translate AR architecture, perception-software capabilities, sensor fusion, and system-level behaviors into clear and compelling value propositions for enterprises, OEM partners, and developers.

Lead or contribute to end-to-end go-to-market planning for AR platform releases, system-software updates, perception model improvements, and developer-enablement programs.

Develop high-impact AR-focused content, including messaging frameworks, solution briefs, competitive narratives, partner materials, and customer-facing collateral.

Conduct ongoing AR market, ecosystem, and competitive analysis to support roadmap prioritization and go-to-market strategy.

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Solutions, Sales, and Business Development to ensure consistency with AR platform direction, customer needs, and technical realities.

Represent SoftEye’s AR platform in customer briefings, partner discussions, analyst engagements, industry events, and ecosystem forums.

Build repeatable AR-focused playbooks for messaging, sales enablement, partner engagement, and vertical-specific go-to-market motions.

Align cross-functional teams around shared AR narrative, customer value, and launch plans within your product areas.

Contribute to overall platform narrative development, including analyst relations and strategic partner storytelling.

Mentor PMM contributors, contractors, or agency partners to scale execution and impact as appropriate.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Strategic Marketing, Ecosystem Development, or related areas.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field — or equivalent hands‑on experience with system software, chipsets, embedded platforms, or developer ecosystems.

Strong understanding of AR system-level technologies, including hardware, OS layers, middleware, SDKs, AR perception systems, and how these components integrate into cohesive platform experiences.

Proven success positioning and launching platform technologies, developer-facing products, or complex system software in emerging tech markets.

Ability to translate deep technical concepts into clear value narratives for enterprise, OEM, and ecosystem audiences.

Experience operating effectively in fast‑paced, growth‑stage, or early commercialization environments.

Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to customers, partners, executives, or developer communities.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or technical graduate degree.

Background in AR/XR, spatial computing, perception systems, semiconductors, embedded platforms, or edge AI.

Experience influencing product decisions, representing platform narratives externally, or owning competitive positioning in emerging technology markets.

Experience planning and executing major launches or leading cross‑functional go‑to‑market initiatives.
