Senior Manager / Director of Sales (San Diego or Bay Area, CA)
SoftEye is seeking a Sales leader to drive adoption of our augmented reality (AR) platform across enterprise customers, OEM partners, and the broader spatial computing ecosystem.
This role is a key part of SoftEye’s coordinated global go‑to‑market expansion. As we extend our AR platform across U.S. and international markets, you will build pipeline across priority verticals, lead technical and commercial sales cycles, and represent our system‑level AR platform to senior customer and partner stakeholders.
You will engage deeply in customer requirements, shape integrated AR hardware and software solutions, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Solutions, and Business Development to align customer needs with platform direction. Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise, OEM, and platform partner sales cycles for AR hardware and software solutions.
Build and manage a strong pipeline across high‑value AR verticals.
Drive customer discovery, technical qualification, demos, POCs, and evaluation programs.
Position AR platform capabilities across sensors, compute, displays, perception software, SDKs, and cloud integrations.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Solutions on customer‑aligned AR architectures.
Manage multi‑quarter agreements and complex deal negotiations.
Represent SoftEye in executive meetings, industry events, and ecosystem forums.
Contribute to forecasting, sales strategy, and go‑to‑market alignment as we scale.
Qualifications
Seven or more years of experience selling emerging technology platforms, hardware systems, or developer‑facing products.
Bachelor’s degree required; a technical degree or MBA preferred.
Experience with AR, XR, or spatial computing technologies including perception software, sensors, embedded compute, near‑eye displays, or edge AI.
Demonstrated ability to sell integrated hardware and software solutions and navigate system‑level conversations.
Strong track record managing complex B2B or OEM sales cycles with technical qualification and evaluation programs.
Experience partnering with engineers, product leaders, and technical decision makers.
Ability to operate effectively in fast‑moving, growth‑stage environments.
Excellent customer engagement, executive communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling to OEMs, device manufacturers, enterprise innovation teams, or platform partners.
Background in AR hardware, perception stacks, near‑eye displays, embedded systems, or related technologies.
Experience contributing to sales strategy, forecasting, partner management, or early team building.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $180,000 – $250,000 per year.
Equity and performance incentives.
Annual bonus.
