We are seeking a qualified and experienced Scientist/Geologist Project Manager to lead and oversee a range of environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in the environmental consulting field and project management, with demonstrated expertise in ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and a demonstrated commitment to sustainable practices. The successful candidate will exhibit strong leadership capabilities, effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, and mentor junior staff through guidance, training, and strategic delegation. Responsibilities

Lead and oversee environmental field investigations and remediation projects, including site reconnaissance, subsurface exploration, and identification of key site features. Manage subsurface investigations and environmental sampling programs, ensuring compliance with ASTM standards, company SOPs, and industry guidelines. Review, analyze, and oversee documentation of field, instrumentation, and environmental data. Provide engineering oversight for environmental remediation projects, including UST removals, remedial excavations, and operation/maintenance of remediation systems (e.g., vapor mitigation, soil vapor extraction, air/biosparging). Design and manage soil, groundwater, and soil vapor remediation systems, including physical, chemical, biological, and thermal treatments. Prepare, review, and approve work products such as Environmental Site Assessments, Feasibility Studies, Cleanup Action Plans, project manuals, and cost estimates. Prepare proposals, work orders, and associated cost estimates; manage project budgets and schedules. Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety protocols, develop site-specific H&S plans, and lead daily site H&S meetings. Mentor junior staff and coordinate project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. Participate in business development and contribute to organizational growth. Skills And Experience

B.S. degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering; M.S. degree a plus. 5+ years environmental consulting experience, with at least 2 years in project manager role. Strong written and verbal communication, organization and computer literacy skills (MS Office). Experience with CAD, GIS, or environmental modeling software preferred. Mechanical aptitude is a plus. Pursuing or has acquired Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer license. Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted. Flexibility for occasional after-hours work. OSHA 40‑hr HAZWOPER and OSHA 10‑hr Construction Site Safety training preferred. U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass background check if required for client/site access. Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work regionally in Seattle/Tacoma and Puget Sound, along with a satisfactory driving record.
