Pay Range Base pay range: $103,871.00/yr – $131,299.00/yr
Job Overview The Office of Special Investigations (OSI) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Deputy Chief Investigator (ADCI) in the OSI Public Integrity Division (PID). The PID investigates a wide range of allegations of misconduct, both criminal and internal policy violations, to ensure the integrity of the Department and the safety of all within the DOCCS system. The ADCI will be responsible for the daily investigations and operations within the division and its geographic region, supervising senior investigators and ensuring that investigations are thorough, timely, and fair.
Responsibilities
Supervise senior investigators and investigators handling matters within the division.
Ensure investigations are thorough, timely, and fair, complying with all relevant policies and laws.
Maintain daily operations and investigations within the division and geographic region.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum six years of investigative experience and at least two years of leadership, management, and supervisory experience.
Relevant investigative experience preferred; advanced educational degrees may substitute for investigative experience on a 2:1 basis.
Strong leadership qualities, ability to adapt to changing environments, and handle multiple priorities.
High degree of organizational and writing skills, availability to respond immediately to incidents.
Knowledge of applicable laws, high ethical standards, and state-of-the-art technical skills.
Required licensure and certifications, including peace officer qualification to carry a firearm.
Ability to travel and obtain a security clearance if necessary.
Additional Comments Location: Clinton (Clinton County) and Fishkill (Dutchess County). Travel is required. This position is not overtime eligible.
