Senior Vocational Nurse - Pavilion – Multi‑Specialty – Full‑Time (Days)

As a UCI Health team member, you will support critical patient care and professional nursing procedures in a dynamic acute‑care setting.
Position Summary The incumbent performs assigned nursing procedures, takes vital signs, collects and processes specimens for analysis, and assists physicians with examinations and treatments. The nurse observes, records, and reports the physical and mental condition of patients to promote safe, quality care.
Responsibilities
Perform assigned nursing procedures, take vital signs, and assist physicians with examinations.
Collect, process, and report specimens for laboratory analysis.
Observe, record, and report patients’ physical and mental condition.
Maintain an effective work pace and collaborate with the health system team members across units.
Required Qualifications
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in California, with a minimum of six months experience in an acute‑care setting.
Strong customer‑service skills and excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Ability to maintain an effective work pace appropriate to the workload.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the UCI Health system.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of JCAHO requirements and knowledge of UCI Health policies, procedures, and forms.
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
