Holistic/Biological Dentist
Location BioHax Dental, 4141 NE 2nd Ave #106A, Miami, FL 33137
Schedule Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM
About Biohax Dental Biohax Dental is a leading holistic and biological dental practice located in Miami's Design District. The clinic emphasizes:
An integrated approach to dentistry, focusing not only on oral health but on whole body well being.
Use of nontoxic, biocompatible biomaterials.
Nutritional counseling as part of dental treatment, recognizing the link between diet and oral health.
Advanced, holistic treatments such as safe mercury removal, ozone therapy, ceramic implants, and TMJ/TMD treatments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, cleanings, and preventive care with a holistic/biological lens.
Provide safe amalgam (mercury) removal following established protocols to minimize patient exposure to toxic materials.
Diagnose and treat TMJ/TMD issues, sleep apnea-related dental problems, and jaw cavitations.
Design and deliver treatment plans using metal‑free, biocompatible restorations, including ceramic or zirconia crowns, bridges, and implants.
Perform or coordinate oral surgery, including cavitation surgery, when needed.
Provide nutritional counseling to patients, integrating dietary guidance into dental health strategies.
Evaluate and manage previous root canal treatments, and guide decisions about retreatment or extractions.
Deliver ozone therapy to support healing and control infection.
Use appropriate sedation/relaxation techniques and minimally invasive methods to enhance patient comfort.
Collaborate with the rest of the Biohax team (hygienists, administrative staff, and medical staff) to deliver integrated care.
Educate patients about the systemic links between oral health and whole‑body wellness.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, treatment plans, and follow‑up care.
Uphold all regulatory, ethical, and safety standards in biological dentistry.
Qualifications & Skills
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Florida.
Experience in, or strong interest to practice, holistic/biological dentistry.
Familiarity with non‑toxic biomaterials (e.g., ceramic/zirconia), safe amalgam removal protocols (IAOMT or similar), and biocompatibility testing.
Experience with or willingness to learn advanced holistic modalities (ozone therapy, cavitation surgery, etc.).
Strong communication skills: able to explain complex, whole‑body dental concepts to patients.
Ability to integrate
nutrition
into dental treatment planning.
Compassionate, patient‑focused mindset; skilled at working with patients who may have sensitivities or health concerns.
Comfortable working with a multidisciplinary wellness‑focused team.
Commitment to continuing education in holistic dentistry, biological materials, and related fields.
Preferred / Nice to Have
Certification or training in IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology) or similar safe‑amalgam protocols.
Experience placing or restoring ceramic dental implants.
Prior involvement with ozone therapy in a clinical setting.
Background in treating sleep apnea (dental appliance) or TMJ/TMD.
Experience in nutritional counseling or functional medicine.
