About the Role The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will oversee the testing process for SEVIS and its subsystems, ensuring that testing is conducted efficiently and within the required timeline. The role involves collaborating with SMU leadership to develop testing standards and specifications, as well as designing methods and techniques for complex system testing requirements.
Responsibilities
Testing system integration, application program testing, database design testing, and enterprise architecture integration.
Developing and maintaining testing standards and specifications.
Designing testing methods, theories, and research techniques to address advanced system testing challenges.
Managing the QA team and ensuring they remain informed about industry trends and testing strategies.
Experience Requirements The QA Lead must have at least four (4) years of experience in project management and test management software, along with standard development and engineering processes.
Required Experience Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience. Degree-based substitutions: a bachelor’s degree equals three (3) years of experience, a master’s degree equals four (4) years, and a doctorate equals five (5) years. Certifications related to the position are equivalent to two (2) years of experience.
Education & Certification Equivalents Education and certification can be used in place of experience: a Bachelor’s degree counts as three (3) years, a Master’s degree as four (4) years, and a Doctorate as five (5) years of experience.
Additional Required Knowledge and Skills
Preparing analytical reports and assessments.
Problem-solving.
Excellent communication—particularly listening—skills.
Leadership and mentoring skills.
Experience working remotely in a highly collaborative environment.
