Fabrication Plant Manager – Structural Steel
Compensation:
Up to $140,000, based on experience
Why This Role Matters
As the Fabrication Plant Manager, you’ll be a key leader overseeing the company’s structural steel fabrication operations. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, safety, and efficiency across the fabrication shop ensuring high-quality output, motivated teams, and continuous improvement in every process.
Oversee daily operations of the Fabrication Shop to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.
Lead and manage production leads, QC inspectors, fitters, welders, machinists, and support staff.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and meet production goals.
Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with management and shop teams to enhance fabrication methods and workflow efficiency.
Monitor project budgets, production costs, and provide regular performance feedback.
Proven management experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and industry standards.
Familiar with safety regulations and best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Tekla PowerFab experience preferred.
Knowledge of welding, gas systems, rigging, and related tools and equipment.
Must possess tools to measure and verify basic conformity standards.
Valid driver’s license required; occasional offsite travel.
