We are seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join the Seamless Mill team located in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for all day-to-day manufacturing and quality operations on the seamless mill. This position reports directly to the General Supervisor for the Seamless Mill.

Responsibilities

Perform daily mill inspections with an eye for safety and productivity issues, coordinate with mill support groups to design and implement countermeasures

Conduct shift safety meetings and daily toolbox talks, train employees on safe work practices, and conduct daily safe job observations

Use LEAN tools from the Rocky Mountain Steel Business System to engage employees to continuously improve mill operations

Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training

Responsible for managing an operational and quality team during manufacturing operations and while performing operational maintenance of mechanical equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems

Use quality standards to evaluate product conformance and troubleshoot quality issues promptly

Maintain and correct electronic and written records including shift performance, heat traceability, and quality assurance

Work with shipping department and railroad to manage truck and rail transfers

Requirements

Bachelor's of Science Degree or equivalent experience

Three years of industrial supervisory experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word and Excel

Experience with Oracle, database development, statistical process control, process control, automation technologies, and lean manufacturing principles

Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills

Proven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity

Proven ability to professionally communicate with all levels of personnel, in written and verbal forms

Demonstrated initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions

Compensation

$85,000 - $90,000
