Responsibilities

Participate in a comprehensive training program to gain experience in key warehouse and logistics tasks, including selection, loading/unloading of trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in line with company services and cost objectives.

Learn to plan work assignments to ensure effective use of warehouse equipment through hands-on experience.

Upon graduation, be prepared to lead a small group of hourly associates in a distribution center management operation.

Ensure that all associates are motivated, engaged, trained and competent, understanding how their work relates to customer objectives.

Foster a safe work environment by complying with and administering established safety and operational procedures.

Understand location-specific customer goals and objectives and strive to meet or exceed these expectations daily.

Resolve issues and monitor day-to-day operations for compliance using organizational and time-management skills.

Develop a working knowledge of the site’s operating systems to ensure compliance and exception resolution.

Learn the Kaizen methodology and implement Lean processes.

Analyze and apply basic principles of inventory management, receiving, storage, and shipping in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required; in Business, Supply Chain, Data Science/Analytics or related field is a plus.

Demonstrated leadership through school, community, clubs/organizations, or the military.

Authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for these positions.

Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role preferred.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to learn and navigate various technology platforms.

Commitment to learning and growth; receptive to feedback and developing self-awareness.

High level of commitment to operation and job responsibilities.

Results-oriented with attention to detail and strong time-management and organizational skills.

Ability to build positive working relationships within the department at all levels.

Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.

Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule at the specified location.

Pay and Benefits

Pay: $25.00 per hour with an average annual compensation of approximately $55,000 (including OT).

Program Details

Each program starts on the first of the month and runs for approximately 9–12 months.

Relocation or daily commuting to the city, state is considered; relocation is open after completion of the program.
