Supply Planner responsible for managing material supply, coordinating planning systems, and ensuring supplier performance. This role focuses on planning, supplier management, and continuous improvement. The job is part of the Supply Chain Management team focusing on production and spares requirements.
Responsibilities
Utilize the site’s ERP system to supply material per MRP schedule (approx. 50%).
Act as focal contact between SBD Hesston Plant and supply base, drive improvements in supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery) (approx. 20%).
Coordinate and assist Advanced Sourcing Engineering team with new product launches and refresh of existing products (approx. 10%).
Work with suppliers to determine root cause and corrective actions on delivery and quality issues (approx. 10%).
Coordinate with Lead Category Managers & Strategic Sourcing Team on purchased part pricing issues, mitigating cost increases & purchasing part sourcing transitions (approx. 10%).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience.
2–3 years of purchasing experience.
Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Engineering print reading experience preferred.
ERP/MRP system understanding.
