Job Description

The Quality Manager - Defense Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and defense industry standards.
• Oversee Quality Assurance activities, including audits, documentation control, and supplier quality management.
• Manage Quality Control operations, including inspection processes, testing protocols, and acceptance criteria for incoming, in-process, and final products.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives to resolve quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare and present quality metrics and reports to senior leadership and customers.
• Train and mentor quality personnel to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and regulatory audits.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Quality Manager - Defense Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality management within defense, aerospace, or precision manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and MIL standards.
• Experience managing both QA and QC functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, PPAP).
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM/OE).
• Familiarity with NADCAP and special process audits.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and quality management software.
