Translate requirements into software designs and write clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable code. Apply evidence‑centered design to make features testable, ensuring high quality and improving velocity in continuous delivery. Manage project features, break work into sub‑tasks, and identify and resolve issues for efficient execution. Provide technical guidance, code review, coaching, and mentorship to teammates and other teams. Identify gaps and issues across systems and functional areas, propose solutions, build the engineering roadmap, and drive resolution. Lead and improve end‑to‑end testing quality and increase delivery velocity across features. Serve as a key player in guiding technical decisions and influencing others. Take full ownership of sub‑systems within a large domain, including design, development, testing, deployment, observability, and monitoring. Build flexibility into designs to accommodate future changes and improve engineering velocity. Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners to develop innovative solutions that adhere to development goals and principles. What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in Java, GraphQL, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, messaging systems, or other backend programming languages. Experience building data‑driven applications (RDBMS, NoSQL, ElasticSearch). Deliver results in fast‑paced, agile environments with TDD and CI/CD. Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Strong communication skills for cross‑team collaboration. Deep understanding of software development processes and DevOps principles. Proven experience building large, reliable, scalable distributed systems. Experience working with colleagues and customers across functional groups and remote offices. Knowledge of shift‑left approaches is a plus. Past experience with Live Commerce or Live Streaming systems is a big plus; experience with WebSocket is also a big plus. Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges vary by location: San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro: $166,400 – $222,100 $210,400 – $280,900 (depends on level and location). Other U.S. locations: $115,200 – $199,700 $152,400 – $247,800. Base pay may vary based on location, skills, and experience. Total compensation can include target bonus, restricted stock units, medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off (PTO, parental leave).
