Senior Deal Architect Join EY as a Senior Deal Architect – Associate Director, where you’ll play a leading role in the commercialization of the firm’s most strategic, complex, and innovative opportunities.

The Opportunity As a Senior Deal Architect you will engage in cross‑Service Line, cross‑Region pursuits spanning audit, transformation, and managed services. You will execute innovative positioning, pricing, monetization, and commercialization strategies aligned with EY’s differentiated value, delivering improved win rates, increased revenues, and expanded margins to accelerate profitable growth ambitions.

Your Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership, oversight, and accountability from qualification to close across all pricing, financial, and commercial aspects of our largest, highest risk, most complex, strategic pursuits.

Build trust‑based relationships and influence decision‑making across internal and client stakeholders, contributing to positive‑sum outcomes that unlock or expand client value.

Quickly develop and scale the client value proposition and competitive price range, supported by detailed solution assumptions and indicative financial implications.

Shape opportunities by integrating client and competitor intelligence across positioning, pricing, monetization, solutioning, and commercial dimensions.

Influence win strategy and offer design by providing actionable, data‑driven insights on competitors’ solutions, pricing, and positioning.

Execute the agreed‑upon offer design with a differentiated pricing, monetization, and commercial strategy fit for the in‑scope services.

Collaborate with solution architects and domain experts to align solution design with client response requirements.

Leverage MS‑Excel‑based and enterprise‑scale, cloud‑native, AI‑enabled platforms to rapidly develop, assess, refine, and iterate a pursuit’s price position and forecasted economics.

Articulate the pursuit’s forecasted economics based on accounting standards and internal policies.

Identify, communicate, and mitigate competitive and commercial risks through proactive collaboration with deal lead, negotiators, solution architects, legal, risk management, and independence teams.

Author client‑facing documents including value estimation, pricing proposals, and all commercial terms and conditions.

Participate actively in negotiations with clients and trusted advisors to achieve positive outcomes through fair, balanced exchanges.

Document and transition financial and commercial knowledge of the pursuit to account and delivery teams to support contract management execution.

Skills And Attributes For Success Understanding of macro and micro‑economic environments, geopolitics, and technology trends that impact client industries and businesses is essential. Candidates should have a proven track record designing, modeling, and structuring top‑end audit, transformation, and managed services projects employing innovative monetization techniques. Experience with a broad spectrum of pricing strategies for professional services is required. Knowledge of value drivers—efficiency, effectiveness, enablement—is crucial. Candidates must be able to synthesize large data sets into actionable intelligence, simplify complexity, establish credibility quickly, and build trust‑based influence with senior stakeholders.

Collaboration across a matrix organization, coaching pursuit teams, facilitating discussions, speaking in large groups, handling difficult conversations, influencing without authority, and writing persuasively are all important attributes.

What We Look For • University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

• MBA or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business or related field preferred.

• 10–12 years of experience in professional services, strategy consulting, investment banking, financial planning & analysis, corporate development, SaaS/cloud commercialization, or pricing.

• Expert proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, budgeting, and associated metrics.

• Professional accounting or financial certification required.

What We Offer You The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow local salary guidelines.

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with performance‑based rewards and recognition, including base salary ranges of $181,800 – $350,000 (US). Detailed geographical ranges and Total Rewards including medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.

Hybrid work model: most client‑serving roles are expected to work in person 40–60% of the time.
