Our client, a Construction company in Mount Vernon, NY is seeking an Estimator to join their team. This role is responsible for evaluating project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and helping us win work that aligns with our capabilities and goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and understands how to analyze drawings, materials, labor needs, and project risks. Key Responsibilities:

Review drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand scope Conduct material and labor takeoffs for all phases of construction Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers Prepare and organize competitive cost estimates for proposals and bids Work with project managers and engineers to align estimates with project execution plans Factor in labor productivity, material costs, and potential risks or delays Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing and construction methods Track and compare actual project costs to past estimates for continuous improvement Support change order pricing and estimate updates during the project Requirements:

3+ years of experience in construction estimating Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and technical drawings Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software (e.g. PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel) Strong math and analytical skills Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Detail-focused with strong time management skills Preferred:

Experience in residential, commercial, site work, etc. Background in construction management, engineering, or related trade The compensation for this position ranges from $150,000.00 - $180,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
