What you’ll do:
Define test and calibration methods for cameras and other optical sensors, including algorithm development and test‑station hardware definition
Drive test‑station manufacturing with third‑party vendors
Support tester bring‑up in collaboration with our manufacturing partners, write and maintain tester documentation, and review GR&R data
Troubleshoot and debug test stations and test software and firmware releases
Support failure analysis through review of test data in collaboration with the camera design engineers
International travel up to 15% to support factory builds
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++
Strong data analysis and visualization skills using tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and standards for cameras and fundamental understanding of optical sensing technologies
Knowledge of standard quality methodologies such as GR&R and SPC
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field
3+ years of experience in testing of cameras or optical sensors for consumer electronics
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or master’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field
Experience developing and maintaining factory test and calibration stations for high‑volume manufacturing
Experience with camera calibration and test techniques for computer vision, sensor fusion, active and passive depth sensing, and/or biometric sensing
Experience with robotics or instrument control automation

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $157,000-$235,000 annually.
Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $149,000-$223,000 annually.
Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $133,000-$200,000 annually.
