Program Description The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, is looking for talented leaders to add to its global leadership depth and play a role in the current and future success of the organization. The co‑op/intern Program provides students with practical work experience in many diverse areas. The program allows students to gain a better understanding of the various job opportunities available throughout Goodyear.
In addition to challenging, engaging and interesting work assignments, students have the opportunity to meet and interact with students from other universities, tour Goodyear facilities, and hear from Goodyear leaders, including senior leadership.
Function Overview and Project Tasks/Responsibilities The goal of the Supply Chain Rotational Program (SCRP) is to build our next generation of Supply Chain professionals. The program is designed to develop high‑caliber individuals into future leaders in Supply Chain or Operations Management. Participants gain high‑level visibility to leadership, learn Supply Chain management tools, lead meetings, present to senior leadership, and drive continuous improvement projects.
Graduates of the Goodyear SCRP are developed as the talent pipeline for many roles, including:
Production Planning (Item Level Planning)
Demand Planning (Forecasting)
Supply Chain Analyst (Customer Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Product Business Unit focused)
Transportation Analyst
Deployment
New Associates entering the program will rotate through 3–5 assignments, each approximately 6 months, in functional areas such as Demand Planning, Customer Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business Process Excellence, and Logistics and Warehousing.
Examples of rotational responsibilities include:
Lead demand collaboration meetings with key sales channel leaders
Optimize reporting and methodology
Negotiate container contracts
Maintain carrier scorecards
Ensure customer satisfaction for key accounts (e.g., Walmart and Sam’s Club)
Support raw materials planning
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Preferred Supply Chain or Logistics)
Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required
Intellectual curiosity with a drive for root‑cause analysis
Continuous improvement mentality and problem‑solving skills
Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and accomplish goals simultaneously
Strong analytical and data management skills
Demonstrated leadership and growth potential
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Capable of interacting with all organization levels from entry‑level associates to senior leadership; strong desire to develop a career in Supply Chain
Co‑op or intern experience in Supply Chain fields is a plus
Multilingual is a plus
