IT Manager – Infrastructure, Automation & AI Operations
Bay Cities is looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee all infrastructure, systems, and Microsoft 365 environments while leading automation and AI initiatives across the company. The role reports to the CITO and will drive the company’s modernization roadmap, prioritize IT projects, and build a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day IT operations, infrastructure, and system performance across all facilities.
Oversee servers, networking, cloud connectivity, storage, and disaster‑recovery planning.
Maintain enterprise uptime >99% and enforce proactive monitoring and escalation practices.
Manage vendor and license relationships for cloud hosting, telecom, and hardware procurement.
Own the Microsoft 365 environment (Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Defender, Loop).
Architect and administer modern collaboration ecosystems—SharePoint Online, Teams, Loop, and Viva—to enable digital‑first workflows.
Lead integration of Copilot for Microsoft 365 across applications to improve productivity and insight.
Develop governance for data retention, permissions, and compliance across the M365 suite.
Build or mentor a team that supports and continuously optimizes the full Microsoft environment.
Champion adoption of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to streamline workflows and enhance decision‑making.
Deploy automation via Power Automate, n8n, and PowerShell to reduce manual workload.
Identify and pilot new AI‑driven use cases across departments.
Establish standards and training for AI usage, data privacy, and ethical guidelines.
Collaborate with the CITO to build AIOps foundations and insight‑driven system monitoring.
Translate high‑level goals into executable, ROI‑driven project plans with timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Plan, scope, and deliver initiatives such as Intune rollout, infrastructure modernization, and collaboration platform upgrades.
Build business cases for new technology and outline benefits, costs, and measurable ROI.
Ensure strong communication and cross‑departmental collaboration during all project phases.
Lead and mentor IT technicians to drive accountability, responsiveness, and customer focus.
Establish clear SLAs, performance metrics, and review rhythms.
Provide training and coaching to elevate team skills across M365 administration and modern support methods.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years in IT infrastructure and operations management, including 3+ years in people or project leadership.
Deep technical experience in Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender, Loop, Viva); Azure AD/Entra ID; Windows Server, networking, and cloud infrastructure; SQL Server administration; Automation & Scripting (PowerShell, Power Automate, or n8n).
Experience deploying and managing AI and Copilot integrations within enterprise environments.
Proven success in delivering IT projects from concept to completion (scope, timeline, ROI, stakeholder communication).
Strong communication skills—able to convey complex technology in clear business terms.
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and operational tasks simultaneously.
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or OT systems.
Familiarity with AI tools and large language models (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude).
Experience building modern digital workplaces leveraging Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Loop.
Understanding of AIOps, monitoring, and AI‑based support automation.
Familiarity with Power BI or advanced analytics within Microsoft 365.
Performance Expectations & Metrics
Maintain >98% SLA compliance across infrastructure and support operations.
Reduce ticket backlog and overdue tickets by at least 20% per quarter.
Deliver at least two automation or AI‑driven process improvements per quarter.
Increase Microsoft 365 user adoption and collaboration engagement metrics quarter‑over‑quarter.
Provide quarterly ROI reporting on major projects and technology initiatives.
